We are pleased to have joined H.E Mohamed Abdi Mohamud in the official launch of Emergency Water trucking to all corners of Wajir County.

During this severe drought conditions, the number of people in need of humanitarian support continues to increase on a daily basis.

It’s on that note, together with the County Department of Water Resource, we have initiated a rapid Borehole Response Maintenance program. This program is aimed at responding to borehole breakdowns and breakages in the shortest time possible. Wajwasco and Water Department currently maintains close to 300 boreholes across the County. As a team, we have propositioned five active rapid response teams using two lorries and five land cruisers so as to repair the boreholes that are prone to frequent breakdowns due to the long hours of use.

The Governor on his end directed the Department of Water to drill 30 emergency boreholes across the county from the 2019/20 Financial Year Budget that has been approved by the County Assembly.
